Yesterday was a most exhilarating day for me and I am on cloud-nine with my mind still reeling from the experience. I spent the day with a dear friend who went out of her way to be with me to bear witness to a very special legal proceeding.
At 10:30 am on Thursday, February 24th, 2011, my name was changed by a court order. I am now legally known to the world as Julie.
I am very happy about this latest change and want everyone to understand and accept that my life has irrevocably changed for the better and continues to improve on a daily basis. I am much much happier than I’ve ever been in my life. My mental health has never been better.
I am truly becoming the woman I’ve always known myself to be.
